Red Bull Under My Wing debuts in Malaysia.
"I am going to take you under my wing" is a classic expression often used by a more experienced peer when offering help and advice to juniors. This is exactly the idea behind the Red Bull Under My Wing project, which was created by Naranjo and Saavedra with the aim to provide young athletes with valuable tools such as one-on-one guidance and expert mentoring to develop their skills in the sport they are passionate about.
A one-day workshop led by UAE Motorcross Mahommed Balooshi took place on at the DARC Dirt Track at Denai Alam Recreation and Riding Club. The event offered local motorcross riders a chance to undergo intensive motocross riding, learn about techniques and further guidance in the sport.
About 50 local riders are expected to join
About 50 local riders were invited to join the Red Bull Under My Wing workshop, which is the first of its kind in Malaysia. The workshop will include professional-style jumps training/advice and a series of exercises dedicated to build strength and endurance in motocross essential for optimum performance and mental preparation.
The Red Bull Under My Wing project travels worldwide, uniting talented young hopefuls with the best athletes to provide a once in a lifetime experience. The motorcross theme was selected because of the intense interest of local youth nationwide in the sport (enduro and freestyle) and judging from the number of competitions that are held yearly, it's a successful project.
