"Triad" production receives threats

4 Nov – Is William Chan's latest movie, "Triad" clinging too close to the truth? It was reported that the production of his new movie has been receiving a lot of threats.

Groove Asia website reported that several mobsters were upset by the movie's "Who's the Boss" posters that were placed all over Kowloon.

According to a representative of Emperor Motion Picture, "We indeed received some calls from nasty people earlier, telling us not to mess up their order and demanding us to quickly remove the posters!"

When asked if they would involve police in the issue, the rep stated, "Since we don't really know who the person was, for now we don't have any plan to [call the police]."

Meanwhile, William Chan took the threat as a positive thing. The actor stated, "In a way, everyone responded to the promotional posters, which is a good thing."

Asked if he is worried about the threat, Chan answered, "I will constantly promote in Mongkok and won't be too worried. The campaign poster is just a promotional gimmick. No one needs to take it too seriously."
