KUALA LUMPUR, July 28 (Bernama) -- TV AlHijrah, an Islamic television

station, will go on air for 24 hours on Friday, Saturday and Sunday during

Ramadan, said its chief executive officer, Bukhari Che Muda.

He said the broadcast from Monday to Thursday would be from noon to 6am.

TV AlHijrah will air interesting programmes suitable for the holly month

such as "Muhasabah Ramadan", "Taddarus Al-Quran", "Ramadan di Australia",

"Fattabiouni" and "Resipi Umi", he told a news conference here today.

Bukhari said various genres were slotted in the programme rescheduling in

line with the theme for the fasting month, "Ramadan a Struggle."

TV AlHijrah prided itself by having 70 per cent local content despite being

only seven-month-old, he added.
