TV Legend, James Garner dies at 86

21 Jul – Famous for his leading role in television series, "Maverick" and "The Rockford files", actor James Garner, age 86 has passed away on 19 July 2014 in his Brentwood home. The cause of his death was reportedly said to be of 'natural causes'.

Garner starred in more than 50 films including "Murphy's Romance" in 1985 for which he received an Academy Award nomination, "The Notebook" which starred Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams, "8 Simple Rules", "The Ultimate Gift", "Battle for Terra" and more.

He also co-starred many popular actors and actresses such as Audrey Hepburn in "The Children's Hour", Doris Day in "The Thrill of It All", Julie Andrews in "The Americanization of Emily", Bruce Lee in "Marlowe", Sally Field in "Murphy's Romance", Mel Gibson in "Maverick", Clint Eastwood in "Space Cowboys" and others.

Garner's latest film is a 2010 short animated film "Superman/Shazam!: The Return of Black Adam" where he voiced Shazam an ancient wizard in DC Comics.
