BALIK PULAU, April 24 (Bernama) -- Two people were killed when a lorry ran
over them in an accident at the flyover of Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah, heading
towards Bayan Baru, near here, today.
South West District police chief Supt Hatta Md Zin said during 9.15am
incident, two Myanmar nationals riding a motorcycle lost control and fell on the
road after a forklift had grazed their motorcycle.
"According to witnesses, a lorry heading in the same direction ran over the
two men who had fallen in the middle of the road," he told reporters after
handing over cheques for consolation aid to 25 ex-policemen who worked during
the Emergency.
He said both men, who were in their 20s, died at the scene.
"A team of policemen were forced to gather their scattered brain remains
and their bodies was taken to the Balik Pulau Hospital," he said.
He said, police were still trying to trace the driver of the lorry since
the driver had disappeared after the incident.
