KAMPAR, April 20 (Bernama) -- Two factory workers were killed and eight others
injured when a bus they were travelling in, collided head-on with a trailer
lorry at the 38.5km Jalan Ipoh-Kuala Lumpur last night.
Also injured was the bus driver.
The deceased were identified as Rohani Ramli, 38, from Taman Mesra Raya and
Russiah Md Yusof, 44, from Kampung Simpang Tiga Sungai Lesung, Ayer Kuning.
Rohani, who sustained head injuries, died on the spot. Her body was sent to the
Kampar Hospital.
Russiah, who also sustained head injuries, was sent to the Raja Permasuri
Bainun Hospital but succumbed to the injuries while undergoing treatment.
Kampar police chief Supt Abdul Aziz Salleh said today, the 64-year-old trailer
lorry driver was detained to facilitate investigations for reckless driving.
