12 Feb – After Oh Ji-ho was revealed to have not taken the role for KBS' "The Equator Man", it was reported that "2 Days 1 Night" star, Uhm Tae-woong has instead agreed to join the project.
According to Dramabeans website, a representative from the drama's production team stated, "Uhm Tae-woong has been confirmed to play the male lead Kim Sun-woo."
The "Equator Man" will be Uhm Tae-woong's first small screen project since SBS's "Doctor Champ" back in 2010. In the upcoming series, he will play Kim Sun-woo, a man who had a difficult youth, growing up in an orphanage, but eventually becomes a highly successful CEO.
"The Equator Man" will wrap up its casting sometime next week and begin filming by the end of this month. Uhm Tae-woong's "The Equator Man" is the follow-up to Lee Dong-wook's "Wild Romance" and will premiere on 14 March.
