PETALING JAYA, July 30 (Bernama) -- An unemployed man was sentenced to 36
months in prison by the Sessions Court today after he pleaded guilty to robbing
a young woman last month.
Judge Haiyatul Akmal Abdul Aziz ordered Muhammad Noorsuzaidee Zainuddin, 24,
to serve the sentence effective today.
He snatched a gold necklace worth RM500 from Nurul Ashikin Asri, 20, at
Jalan Kuala Selangor, Sungai Buloh, near here at 2.35 pm on June 19.
According to the facts of the case, the victim had been on her way to Sungai
Buloh when Muhammad Noorsuzaidee, had snatched the necklace.
Both of them had been on motorcycles.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Choong Kak Sen prosecuted while Muhammad
Noorsuzaidee was unrepresented.
