LANGKAWI, Jan 13 (Bernama) -- Captain of Malaysian `Uranus'' yacht, Mohamad
Razali Mansor is confident of grabbing one of the top three spots of the
premier-class in the 10th Royal Langkawi International Regatta (RLIR) which will
end here tomorrow.
He said although Uranus collected an overall 33 demerit points, he was
confident that good weather tomorrow would enable the Malaysian yacht to clinch
the third spot.
"After today''s round, Uranus grabbed the fifth spot. Another Malaysian
yacht, Utarid is one rung above us and Jelik II at the third spot. We were
separated with just one point each," he told reporters, here today.
In today''s race, HiFi from Hong Kong took the top spot followed by Hooligan
(Australia), Uranus (Malaysia), Jelik 11 (Hong Kong) and Utarid (Malaysia).
Hooligan, however, is still leading the overall race with 10 demerit points,
followed by HiFi (14), Jelik 11 (31), Utarid (32) and Uranus (33).

The overall winner for the RLIR Prime Minister''s Challenge Cup will be
decided in the last two races tomorrow.
Thirty-six teams from 12 countries including Germany, England, Australia,
Denmark, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Japan and Singapore are taking part in the
RLIR, which entered its 10th edition this year.
