PETALING JAYA, May 10 (Bernama) -- The Magistrate''s Court here was today
told that urine test readings on comedy actor Mohd Saifulazam Mohamed Yusoff,
better known as Saiful Apek, and three of his friends were accurate.
Rozita Abdullah, the Science officer at the Pathology Department of the
Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital, Klang, said the accuracy was based on the color
line marks on the test plates which denoted the code of the type of drugs they
had ingested.
On Nov 1 last year, Saiful Apek, 42, and three of his friends namely Shah
Zainatull Ehsan Al-Muazam Shah Yahya, 28, Shaiful Baharom, 24, and Noremy
Mohamad, 28, had pleaded not guilty to consuming cannabis.
Rozita, 41, also said to ensure accurate tests, urine samples had to be
stored in a fridge at a pre-set temperature.
"If this is not done, the analyte which will show the presence of drugs will
be reduced in the urine solution and thus make detection difficult," she said
during examination-in-chief by Deputy Public Prosecutor Ahmad Ishrakh Saad.

She added that all four accused tested positive for cannabis consumption.
Asked by Ahmad Iskhrakh how long the samples could last, Rozita said this
depended on the type of container used to get the urine sample and temperature.
All the accused are alleged to have committed the offence at the Narcotics
Investigation Department''s office at the Subang Jaya police headquarters in
Seri Kembangan here at 11pm on June 12 2010.
They were all charged under Section 15(1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952
