    UUM'S 3D ANIMATION OPEN SOURCE SOFTWARE WORKSHOP A BOOST FOR KNOWLEDGE SHARING

    ALOR SETAR, Feb 13 (Bernama) -- The 3D Animation Open Source Software (OSS)

    workshop held at at Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) from Jan 30 to Feb 10 has

    been a boon for its participants.

    Jointly organised by Asean''s ICT Secretariat, Ministry of

    Information, Communications and Culture and UUM''s College of Arts and Sciences,

    it was aimed at expanding the knowledge of students in the application of OSS to

    value add the marketability and entrepreneurship of graduates.

    Osman said the organising of the workshop was a great honour as it also involved

    the attendance of participants from the Asia-Pacific region.

    Apart from local students, the workshop was also attended by participants

    from Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Bangladesh and Yemen through the sponsorship

    of the Japanese government.
