Water supply disruption in Petaling, Cheras

KUALA LUMPUR, July 31 (Bernama) -- About 40,000 people will be affected due to water disruption in the Petaling and Cheras areas on Aug 8, following maintenance works by a Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas) contractor.

According to a Syabas statement today, the five-hour disruption in the Petaling area was expected to begin at 10pm on Aug 8, due to valve replacement work at the Sime UEP Pool.

The affected areas are from USJ1 to USJ15; USJ16 to USJ27, Putra Avenue and Putra Harmoni.

Meanwhile, affected areas in Cheras are Taman Shamelin Perkasa, Taman Tenaga, Kondominium Sri Emas, Taman Miharja, Taman Kobena, Bandar Tasik Permaisuri, Jalan Pudu Ulu, Jalan Jejaka, Casa Ria Apartments, Kompleks Maluri, Jusco Maluri and Hotel Maluri.

The disruption is expected to start from 10pm on Aug 8 to 6am, the next day. The disruption is due to valve replacement work at Taman Pertama.
