JOHOR BAHARU, May 20 Mei (Bernama) -- Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Abdul Ghani
Othman today reminded the younger generation in the state to not easily get
influenced by groups that are trying to disunite the people.
He said these groups were only exploiting them to achieve their dirty
political agenda.
"Remember, there are those who try to obtain power in the election later by
causing divisions among the people. This is against the fundamental struggle of
our national leaders which prioritise unity, regardless of race, status and
religion.
"Therefore, I would like to invite all the young people in the country to
think rationally about the scenario that is happening right now, for the future
of the country," he said during his closing remarks at the Iskandar Malaysia
Youth Assembly here, today.
He said, the four-day programme which began last Thursday, other than
offering around 75 activities, was also a platform for the younger generation to
get information regarding the Iskandar Malaysia development corridor.
