Pas Kedah melakukan aktiviti pembalakan di kawasan seluas 400 hektar di hutan

simpan Tasik Pedu bagi projek taman agro pelancongan.

Perhimpunan membabitkan beberapa pertubuhan bukan kerajaan (NGO) termasuk

Pertubuhan Pribumi Perkasa Negara (Perkasa) Kedah berlangsung secara aman selama

hampir tiga jam selepas solat Jumaat.

Presiden Perkasa, Datuk Ibrahim Ali berkata banyak lagi tanah terbiar di

negeri ini boleh dibangunkan untuk dijadikan ladang buah-buahan tanpa

menyentuh kawasan hutan berhampiran kawasan tadahan air.

"Semua ini bohong sahaja, hari ini kita bawa rakyat negeri ini datang ke

kawasan ini untuk melihat hutan yang telah digondolkan oleh kerajaan Pas Kedah

dan ini bukan fitnah dan rakyat boleh menilai," katanya pada sidang media di

sini hari ini.

Katanya Perkasa Kedah diminta membuat satu surat aku janji kepada Perdana

Menteri Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak dan pemimpin Barisan Nasional (BN) negeri

agar tidak mengganggu hutan simpanan kekal sekiranya mereka dapat menawan

kembali negeri ini pada Pilihan Raya Umum ke-13 (PRU 13) nanti.

BANTAH-BALAK 2 (AKHIR) KUALA NERANG

Ibrahim berkata dengan adanya surat aku janji itu kerajaan negeri tidak

boleh mengganggu kawasan tadahan air seperti yang dilakukan oleh kerajaan Pas

pada masa ini.

"Jika BN menang kita minta mereka menanam semua pokok-pokok di kawasan hutan

yang telah digondolkan oleh Pas ini.

"Biarlah ambil masa berpuluh tahun asalkan mereka tak ganggu kawasan hutan

simpan dan ini adalah jaminan daripada Perkasa kepada rakyat-rakyat Kedah,"

katanya.

Ibrahim, yang juga Anggota Parlimen Pasir Mas, Kelantan, turut menyeru

rakyat negeri ini agar menolak kepimpinan Pas dan memberi peluang kepada

kerajaan BN yang mempunyai banyak pengalaman dalam mentadbir negeri ini.

Beliau berkata kepimpinan BN terbukti berjaya membawa Malaysia sehingga

menjadi sebuah negara yang mampu berdaya saing dengan negara-negara maju lain.
