KUALA LUMPUR, 28 Sept (Bernama) -- Kira-kira 170,000 individu tidak perlu

lagi membayar cukai pendapatan berikutan penurunan kadar satu mata peratusan

bagi golongan tersebut mulai tahun depan.

Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak berkata penurunan kadar cukai itu

akan menguntungkan kumpulan dengan pendapatan bercukai tahunan melebihi RM2,500

hingga RM50,000.

Beliau berkata langkah itu akan turut memberi manfaat kepada pembayar cukai

sedia ada untuk menikmati penjimatan bayaran cukai mereka.

"Sebagai contoh, golongan profesional muda yang belum berkahwin dengan

pendapatan bulanan RM5,000 akan menikmati penjimatan cukai pendapatan sehingga

RM425 seorang," katanya ketika membentangkan Belanjawan 2013 di Dewan Rakyat di

sini hari ini.

Sebelum ini, kerajaan telah menyediakan sebanyak 20 jenis pelepasan cukai

individu dan dua rebat cukai yang menjadikan hanya 1.7 juta orang sahaja yang

perlu membayar cukai berbanding keseluruhan guna tenaga iaitu seramai 12 juta

orang.

NAJIB-BELANJAWAN (CUKAI) 2 (AKHIR) KUALA LUMPUR

Pada masa ini, kadar cukai pendapatan individu pemastautin adalah progresif

iaitu antara kosong peratus hingga 12 peratus ke atas pendapatan bercukai

RM2,500 hingga RM50,000.

Najib berkata kerajaan turut mencadangkan penurunan kadar cukai pendapatan

koperasi antara satu hingga tujuh mata peratusan di semua kumpulan pendapatan

bercukai.

"Dengan ini seramai tujuh juta ahli koperasi akan menikmati manfaat sebagai

galakan untuk meningkatkan keupayaan keusahawanan dalam bidang perniagaan,"

katanya.

Dalam pada itu, Najib berkata bakal haji yang mencarum di Kumpulan Wang

Simpanan Pekerja (KWSP) kini boleh mengeluarkan simpanan dari Akaun Dua

masing-masing bagi menampung kekurangan kos tambang ke tanah suci Mekah.

"Inisiatif ini terhad kepada jemaah muassasah dengan maksimum pengeluaran

sehingga RM3,000," katanya.
