KOTA KINABALU, July 25 (Bernama) -- One hundred and fifty companies will
offer 7,000 employment opportunities at the three-day Barisan Nasional (BN)
Youth Job Carnival 2011 to be held at the Likas Trade Centre beginning Friday.
Sabah Umno Youth Chief Awang Kadin Tang said the fair, the first of its kind
to be held by the movement in the state, aimed at helping youths in securing
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman is scheduled to open the state-level BN
Youth carnival which is expected to be attended by Barisan Nasional component
Speaking at a press conference here today Awang Kadin said jobs were
available in the plantation to oil and gas sectors from clerical to executive
"I am confident, judging from previous carnivals, that the forthcoming job
fair in Sabah will receive an encouraging response," he said.
Petronas, Tan Chong Group, Labuan Shipyard & Engineering Sdn Bhd, Sawit
Kinabalu, Bernas Sdn Bhd, Tenaga Nasional Bhd and Pilgrims Fund Board will be
among the large companies participating in the fair.
