Abdullah pays tribute to Karpal’s life of service – Bernama

Former prime minister Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said Karpal Singh, who died in a road accident yesterday, led a life of tireless commitment and service to the people.

“We are poorer for the loss of a great legal mind and a crusader for justice and human rights," he said as he extended condolences to the family of the former D

AP chairman and Bukit Gelugor MP.

“As a Penang son, I feel the void of losing a parliamentary colleague, who, while on the other side of the political divide, dedicated a life of tireless commitment and service to the people,” Abdullah said.

In a statement today, he said Karpal's legacy would live on and inspire others in the future.

The prominent lawyer was killed in a road accident on the North-South Expressway near Gua Tempurung about 1.10 am yesterday. – Bernama, April 18, 2014.
