It said Nilai had an Air Pollutant Index (API) reading of 116; Seremban, 104; Kuala Selangor, 106; Port Klang, 154 and Putrajaya, 115.

26 places had a moderate API reading, among them Muar in Johor (86), Tanah Merah in Kelantan (53), Seri Aman in Sarawak (70) and Paka in Terengganu (52) while 19 had a good API reading, among them Kota Tinggi in Johor (32), Jerantut in Pahang (36), Kuching in Sarawak (28) and the Federal Territory of Labuan (49).

An API reading of zero to 50 indicates that the air quality is good; 51 to 100, moderate; 101 to 200, unhealthy; 201 to 300, very unhealthy, and above 301, hazardous.
