MELAKA, 28 Jan (Bernama) -- Ketua Menteri Melaka Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam menyelar kenyataan penasihat DAP Lim Kit Siang dalam twitter kononnya Malaysia negara tidak selamat bagi kanak-kanak seperti William Yau Zhen Zhong.

Beliau berkata kenyataan yang juga menyalahkan kepimpinan Umno dan Barisan Nasional (BN) atas tragedi yang menimpa William itu merupakan tuduhan bodoh dan tidak masuk akal.

Sebaliknya Mohd Ali berkata Lim seharusnya menyalahkan Menteri Besar Selangor Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim kerana gagal menjaga keselamatan di negeri itu.

"Kita jangan asyik menyalahkan Umno dan BN tapi tak tengok diri sendiri, perkara ini berlaku di Selangor, apa dia (Abdul Khalid) buat lepas kejadian menimpa kanak-kanak ini.

"Mengapa dia (Lim) tak tanya Menteri Besar Selangor kenapa kejadian itu berlaku di negeri tersebut dan kenapa tak tanya DAP Selangor apa yang telah mereka buat," katanya kepada pemberita selepas menyampaikan bantuan khas persekolahan kepada 305 pelajar tingkatan lima Sekolah Menengah St David Bukit Baru di sini, hari ini. Mohd Ali mengulas Twitter Lim berbunyi: ''6 years William Yau''s tragic death-apart from Umno/BN ministers/ leaders, Malaysia just not safe even for Children like William'' pada 26 Jan lepas.

Beliau berkata kematian William tidak seharusnya dipolitikkan dan isu keselamatan merupakan tanggungjawab semua pihak.

William, 6, anak kedua pasangan Goh Ying Ying, 28, dan Yau Kok Kang, 32, dilapor hilang pada 16 Jan lepas di Jalan Putra Mahkota, Putra Heights, SubangJaya selepas dipercayai keluar daripada kenderaan untuk mencari ibu bapanya yang singgah di sebuah kedai barangan elektrik.

Pada 24 Jan, mayat seorang kanak-kanak lelaki lengkap berpakaian ditemui di Jeti Kampung Sungai Sireh, Pelabuhan Klang sebelum disahkan polis hari ini bahawa mayat kanak-kanak itu adalah William berdasarkan laporan awal ujian ''deoxyribonucleic acid'' (DNA) oleh Jabatan Kimia.

Dalam perkembangan lain, Mohd Ali berkata kerajaan negeri Melaka telah mengagihkan bantuan khas persekolahan RM100 kepada 70 peratus daripada 153,032 pelajar di negeri itu yang layak menerima bantuan berkenaan.
