Alila Bali wins regional prestigious awards

The Alila Villas Soori Bali has been awarded the best resort hotel in Asia-Pacific at the Asia Pacific Hotel Awards 2013-2014, in regard to its design, development and marketing.

The 19th Asia Pacific Hotel Awards, held in Kuala Lumpur late last month, was judged by a panel of 70 professionals from various backgrounds. Among them were Lord Bates and Sir David Michels, retired group CEO of Hilton Hotels, who jointly chaired the panel.

Alila Villas Soori outclassed 23 other competitors from different countries in the competition.

Frederic Simon, the Alila Hotels & Resorts CEO, said the hotel was honored to be recognized in the hospitality industry, both in Indonesia and the Asia-Pacific region.

"It is an incredible achievement to be awarded such accolades, especially because it was voted by outstanding experts in the industry," he said in a release provided to The Jakarta Post Travel last week.

After being awarded as the best resort hotel in the region, the Alila Villas Soori will compete again on a higher stage at the International Hotel Awards.

These awards uphold international five-star hotel ratings and they are the only such awards to provide five-star accolades at the international level.

The awards’ president, Stuart Shield, stated he was impressed by the increasing number of Asia-Pacific entries in the international competition every year.

Alila Villas Sorri Bali is located on the southwest beachfront of the island, an hour drive from Ngurah Rai International Airport, in Kelating village, Tabanan regency, Bali.
