Assemblies of Umno Youth, Wanita and Puteri begin – Bernama
The annual general assemblies of Umno Youth, Wanita and Puteri Umno began simultaneously at the Putra World Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur today.
The assemblies kicks off with the keynote address by their respective chiefs, and this will be followed by the tabling of motions and debates on various issues, including security, peace, increase in the cost of living, education and national unity.
A total of 993 delegates are attending the Wanita Umno assembly, which is taking place at the Dewan Tun Dr Ismail, while 992 Umno Youth delegates, who were meeting at the Dewan Tun Hussein Onn, are expected to raise the issues of, among others, the party's transformation and the Court of Appeal's ruling on cross-dressing by Muslim men.
The assembly of 991 Puteri Umno delegates, on the other hand, is taking place at the Dewan Merdeka, with focus given to unemployment issues among the young people. – Bernama, November 26, 2014.
