KUALA LUMPUR, 3 Dis (Bernama) -- Keadaan banjir di Terengganu, Pahang dan

Johor semakin buruk petang ini dengan kebanyakan kawasan rendah terus dinaiki

air berikutan hujan sejak semalam.

Banjir yang melanda Kemaman, Terengganu juga meragut nyawa seorang remaja

lelaki berusia 17 tahun setelah lemas di Kampung Padang Kubu di Kijal semalam.

Menteri Komunikasi dan Multimedia Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek yang juga

Anggota Parlimen Kemaman berkata seorang kanak-kanak (masih belum diketahui

jantinanya) pula dikhuatiri hilang di Kijal akibat limpahan air pasang besar.

Di KUALA TERENGGANU, jumlah mangsa banjir meningkat kepada 905 orang

berbanding 452 orang pagi ini apabila Dungun dan Hulu Terengganu pula dilanda

banjir petang ini.

Portal Majlis Keselamatan Negara (MKN) menyatakan setakat 4 petang ini

Kemaman, Dungun dan Hulu Terengganu dilanda banjir dengan Kemaman mencatat

peningkatan mangsa yang dipindahkan.



Di Kemaman 761 orang daripada 195 keluarga dipindahkan ke 24 pusat

pemindahan berbanding pada sebelah pagi hanya 13 pusat dibuka dengan 452 mangsa


Di Hulu Terengganu, 94 mangsa daripada 18 keluarga ditempatkan di pusat

pemindahan sejak 2 petang manakala di Dungun, 50 orang daripada 12 keluarga

dipindahkan sejak 12 tengah hari.

Sementara itu, jurucakap Jabatan Pengairan dan Saliran (JPS) negeri

melaporkan bacaan pada 4 petang menunjukkan paras air di Pasir Raja dan Kuala

Jengai di Dungun melebihi paras bahaya masing-masing setinggi 37.84m dan 23.21m.

Sungai Kuala Berang, di Kampung Menerong di Hulu Terengganu juga melebihi

paras bahaya iaitu setinggi 25.13m (bahaya 24.5m) manakala Sungai Kemaman pula,

Sungai Cerol di Banho dan Jambatan Air Putih berada dalam kedudukan bahaya iaitu

masing-masing setinggi 19.78m dan 15.06m.

Di KUANTAN, sebanyak 5,561 mangsa banjir dipindahkan ke pusat pemindahan

banjir di Kuantan, Pekan, Rompin dan Maran setakat 3 petang.



Bandar Kuantan juga dilaporkan hampir lumpuh apabila kebanyakan laluan jalan

raya di sekitar bandar itu dinaiki air melebihi 1 meter.

Jurucakap Bilik Gerakan Banjir Ibu Pejabat Polis Kontinjen Pahang berkata

Rompin mencatatkan jumlah pemindahan banjir paling ramai iaitu 2,595 orang dari

23 kampung dan ditempatkan di 13 pusat pemindahan di daerah itu.

Di Pekan, 341 mangsa dari enam kampung dipindahkan ke enam pusat pemindahan

manakala di Kuantan 1,824 mangsa dari 23 kampung dipindahkan ke 23 pusat


Di Maran, 801 mangsa banjir dari sembilan kampung ditempatkan di tujuh pusat


Beliau berkata keadaan banjir dijangka bertambah buruk berikutan hujan lebat

masih berterusan sehingga kini.



"Jambatan Sungai Charu di Km28 Jalan Sungai Lembing-Kuantan ditutup kepada

semua kenderaan berikutan air naik melebihi satu meter," kata jurucakap itu.

Beberapa jalan lain juga kini ditutup kepada kenderaan ringan berikutan

kawasan berkenaan dinaiki air antara 0.5 hingga 1 meter termasuk Batu 3 Jalan

Kuantan–Gambang, Km16 Jalan Pekan–Nenasi, Km9 Jalan Pekan–Nenasi dan Km64 Jalan


Di JOHOR BAHARU, jumlah mangsa banjir yang dipindahkan petang ini meningkat

kepada 5,659 orang berbanding 4,765 orang pagi ini.

Setakat 3 petang, Segamat mencatatkan mangsa banjir tertinggi yang

dipindahkan iaitu 1,116 orang, mangsa banjir di Kluang juga meningkat iaitu 187

orang manakala di Kota Tinggi meningkat kepada 74 orang.

Portal MKN menyatakan Muar menjadi daerah terbaharu yang memindahkan mangsa

banjir iaitu 35 orang manakala jumlah mangsa di Mersing kekal 4,247 orang.

Sebanyak 42 pusat perpindahan dibuka berbanding 27 pusat pada sebelah pagi

iaitu 18 di Mersing (kekal), 18 di Segamat (meningkat 12), tiga di Kluang

(meningkat satu), dua di Kota Tinggi (meningkat satu) dan sebuah pusat dibuka di


Jabatan Meteorologi meramalkan cuaca hujan sekejap-sekejap di satu dua

tempat di Mersing dan Segamat manakala ribut petir di satu dua tempat di Kluang

dan Kota Tinggi hari ini.
