Jumlah mangsa banjir di Pahang kembali meningkat petang ini kepada 39,580 orang berbanding 38,235 yang direkodkan tengah hari tadi.

Menurut Jurucakap Bilik Gerakan Banjir Ibu Pejabat Polis Kontinjen Pahang, sehingga jam 4 petang, lebih 39,000 orang daripada 10,925 keluarga, masih ditempatkan di 121 pusat pemindahan dengan melibatkan 128 kampung yang terjejas akibat banjir di lapan daerah di Pahang.

"Kuantan masih mencatatkan jumlah mangsa banjir paling ramai iaitu 34,222 yang ditempatkan di 38 pusat pemindahan banjir," katanya.

Katanya, di Pekan, seramai 3,464 mangsa banjir ditempatkan di 26 pusat pemindahan, Temerloh 847 mangsa banjir di 22 pusat pemindahan, Jerantut 520 (10 pusat), Maran 315 (sembilan pusat), Bera 106 (lapan pusat), Rompin 53 (empat pusat) dan Lipis 53 (empat pusat).

Beberapa jalan utama masih ditutup akibat dinaiki air melebihi satu meter, antaranya Km28 Jalan Sungai Lembing-Kuantan, Km72 Jalan Kuantan-Segamat dan Km14 Jalan Temerloh-Bahau.

Sementara itu, di Johor, 1,538 mangsa banjir daripada 403 keluarga di Johor masih berada di 21 pusat pemindahan sehingga petang ini berbanding 1,633 orang daripada 426 keluarga, pagi tadi.

Jurucakap Bilik Gerakan Ibu Pejabat Polis Kontinjen Johor berkata, sehingga jam 4 petang, seramai 582 orang (145 keluarga) masih berada di sembilan pusat pemindahan di Segamat manakala 418 orang (118 keluarga) berada di lima pusat pemindahan di Batu Pahat.

"Seramai 413 orang (110 keluarga) berada di tiga pusat pemindahan di Pontian; 97 orang (24 keluarga) di dua pusat pemindahan di Kota Tinggi; 20 orang (empat keluarga) di satu pusat pemindahan di Kluang manakala lapan orang (dua keluarga) di satu pusat pemindahan di Ledang," katanya.

Jurucakap itu berkata, cuaca yang cerah sejak pagi tadi membolehkan pusat pemindahan Kampung Nong Chik di Johor Bahru yang menempatkan 65 mangsa dan pusat pemindahan Kampung Baru Sengkang di Kulaijaya yang menempatkan 54 mangsa, ditutup.

Kawasan yang masih terjejas di Segamat ialah Kampung Sanglang, Kampung Paya Dalam, Kampung Awat, Kampung Pogoh 2, Kampung Batu Badak, Kampung Tandong dan Kampung Spang Loi manakala Batu Pahat pula melibatkan Koris, Kampung Parit Haji Kamisan, Sungai Suloh, Parit Lapis serta Kampung Linau Kechil.

Di Kota Tinggi, kawasan yang terjejas adalah Kampung Mawai Baru dan Kampung Perpat; Pontian melibatkan Parit Stan dan Tampuk Laut; Ledang melibatkan Kampung Kundang Ulu manakala Kluang melibatkan Kampung Melayu Batu 4 dekat Paloh. - Bernama, 7 Disember, 2013.
