ALOR SETAR, 19 April (Bernama) -- DAP terus bergolak apabila majoriti

anggota DAP Kedah menolak calon pilihan parti pusat untuk bertanding di negeri

ini pada pilihan raya umum ke-13 (PRU13).

Penolong Setiausaha DAP negeri W.H. Chee berkata mereka menolak calon

pilihan DAP pusat, Teoh Boon Kok yang merupakan Ketua Pemuda DAP Kedah,

bertanding di kerusi Dewan Undangan Negeri (DUN) Derga.

DAP Kedah mahukan bendahari DAP negeri Liaw Theng Hooi bertanding di kerusi

itu, katanya pada sidang akhbar di sini hari ini.

Penyandang kerusi DUN Kota Darul Aman Lee Guan Aik turut menyatakan

kekecewaan dengan keputusan Setiausaha Agung DAP Lim Guan Eng yang mahukannya

bersara daripada politik.

Pengerusi DAP Kedah itu menyifatkan keputusan Guan Eng itu sebagai tidak

demokratik dan menyedihkan.

PRU13-DAP KEDAH 2 (AKHIR) ALOR SETAR

"Saya tidak sedih diketepikan...namun kecewa kerana Guan Eng membelakangkan

kehendak akar umbi," katanya.

Pada sidang akhbar itu juga, Setiausaha Publisiti DAP Kedah Lim Sin Keat

yang dicalonkan pusat bertanding di DUN Kota Darul Aman mengumumkan menarik diri

bagi memberi laluan kepada Lee untuk bertanding di kerusi itu.

"Walau apa pun alasan Setiausaha Agung DAP, Lim Guan Eng, saya telah

memutuskan menarik diri untuk memberi laluan kepada pengerusi DAP Kedah, Lee

Guan Aik bertanding.

"Pada mulanya saya berhasrat bertanding kerusi Parlimen Alor Setar tetapi

kerusi itu diberikan kepada Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR)," katanya.

DAP sebelum ini menuntut empat kerusi DUN selain mengekalkan Kota Darul

Aman, tiga lagi ialah Derga, Bakar Arang dan Sidam serta dua kerusi Parlimen.

Kemelut itu menyebabkan DAP tidak hadir mengumumkan nama calon-calon

pakatan pembangkang di Kedah bersama sekutunya PAS dan PKR di Markas PAS Kedah

di sini, tiga hari lepas.
