KUALA LUMPUR, 21 Mei (Bernama) -- Teruja menang judi siber ''Live Roulette''

sebanyak RM26,000 dengan modal RM200, seorang pemuda bertukar menjadi ''tahi

judi'' dan kini terikat dengan ceti haram atau ''ah long'' bagi menyara

kehidupannya.

Hanya mahu dikenali sebagai Abdullah, anak muda berusia 24 tahun itu

mendakwa dia menjadi kaki judi siber sejak enam tahun lalu selepas diperkenalkan

kepada kegiatan tersebut oleh seorang rakan.

"...ketika itu dengan hanya bermodalkan RM50 kami menang RM500.

"Merasakan permainan itu mudah untuk mendapatkan duit, keesokan harinya saya

pergi main seorang diri dengan modal yang lebih besar iaitu RM100... dan ketika

itu saya menang RM200... ketika itu saya sangat gembira dan bermula dari hari

itulah saya mula ketagih dengan permainan judi siber," katanya ketika ditemui

Bernama, di sini.

Bagi menampung tabiat buruknya, Abdullah yang memperoleh kira-kira RM2,000

sebulan sebagai operator pengeluaran di sebuah kilang di Subang, Selangor,

meminjam daripada ah long sebanyak RM1,000 sebulan dan perlu membayar RM1,200.

JUDI-AH LONG 2 KUALA LUMPUR

Akibatnya kata Abdullah, duit gajinya habis diguna untuk membayar hutang ah

long dan dia terpaksa berhutang semula dengan ah long itu untuk menampung

perbelanjaan harian.

Keadaan ini berterusan selama tiga tahun, katanya menyesali perbuatannya itu

yang didorong rasa tamak.

Pengalaman Abdullah tidak unik, kerana menurut Presiden Lembaga Kesedaran

Pencegahan Jenayah Malaysia, Datuk Seri Dr Saharuddin Awang Yahya, tabiat suka

berjudi dan tamak boleh mendorong seseorang terbabit dengan ah long.

"Bermula dengan judi seseorang itu akan mendapat masalah, contohnya selalu

kehabisan wang perbelanjaan...oleh itu bila tiada duit seseorang itu akan

meminjam duit daripada ah long.

"Bila sudah pinjam wang dengan ah long seseorang itu merasakan masalah

kewangan selesai...tetapi mereka tidak sedar perkara itu adalah permulaan

daripada masalah besar kerana untuk membayar balik pinjaman ah long itu bukannya

mudah," katanya kepada Bernama.

JUDI-AH LONG 3 (AKHIR) KUALA LUMPUR

Presiden Pertubuhan Sukarelawan Pembangunan Sosial, Pencegahan Jenayah dan

AntiDadah R.Jeevan pula mendedahkan ada pusat judi yang menyediakan perkhidmatan

pinjaman wang tidak berlesen.

"Apabila seseorang itu bermain judi dan kalah, maka dia akan mencari jalan

untuk memperoleh kembali wangnya...dan cara yang paling mudah dan cepat untuk

mendapatkan wang adalah pinjam daripada ah long...oleh itu saya boleh katakan

judi sudah sinonim dengan ah long," katanya.

Menurut kedua-dua aktivis sosial itu tidak ada penyelesaian mudah untuk

mengikis tabiat buruk kaki judi, namun sebaik-baiknya mereka perlu mengelak

meminjam daripada ceti haram yang hanya memburukkan lagi masalah.

Sebaik-baik penyelesaian ialah berhenti berjudi, saran kedua-dua aktivis

berkenaan.
