Beyoncé Knowles’ Heat has topped a compilation of favourite celebrity scents.

The stunning 29-year-old singer unleashed her debut perfume Heat in 2010, with second fragrance Heat Rush following this year.

The scent has proved popular with fans, and has now beaten the likes of Mariah Carey and Kylie Minogue in a list of top celebrity perfumes compiled by Britain’s The Fragrance Shop.

Sanjay Vadera, CEO and chairman of the company, has explained how important celebrity endorsements are when it comes to perfume.

"Celebrity fragrances remain at the top of the wish list," he told British newspaper The Sun.

Showbiz power couple David and Victoria Beckham also made the top ten. Two of the soccer star’s fragrances, Homme and Intimately Yours, appeared at number three and number five respectively. Meanwhile, the couple’s Signature scent came in at number ten.

In other Beyoncé news, British newspaper The Daily Mirror is claiming the songstress will be going back on the maple syrup diet ahead of her upcoming US shows.

The beauty has spoken about following the regime in the past, which involves drinking a combination of syrup, lemon juice, water and cayenne pepper. It is thought the stunning star has been following yoga methods recently too in a bid to hone her already-toned body.
