As news broke Thursday morning that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie had finally tied the knot after nine years of dating, the actor was quietly debuting his new wedding ring at an event in England.

The 50-year-old, who married his longtime love at their 1,000-acre French chateau on Saturday, attended a photocall for his upcoming war drama, Fury, at the Bovington Tank Museum in Dorset. As he posed for photos with his co-stars and then solo, the father of six — who had on jeans and two shirts layered under a sport coat, with sunglasses dangling from his collar — had his hand crammed into his pocket, likely trying not to overtly display his new accessory. However, after the photo op concluded, he flashed the ring as he walked away adjusting his jacket.

The Insider With Yahoo has confirmed that both Pitt and Jolie's wedding bands were designed by their jeweler friend, Robert Procop, who has worked with them through the years and is behind the "Style of Jolie" jewelry line.

When Jolie debuted her engagement ring (also made by Procop with input from Pitt) in April 2012, it was also a fairly subtle scene. Jolie and Pitt brought their middle son, Pax, to Los Angeles County Museum of Art's Chinese galleries. The actress looked polished in black pants, heels, and a shiny ivory colored blouse. She didn't make a big to-do of the ring, but seemed to purposely pose with her hand against a display case as Pax stood in front of her and Pitt was to her side. It was a snapshot that was then seen around the world.

We'll have to wait and see how the Maleficent star, who is currently working on a new movie with Pitt called By the Sea, plans to unveil her new wedding band — especially after years of speculation over every ring she has ever worn on that finger.

Pitt and Jolie broke the big news about their wedding on Thursday. The couple exchanged vows in a chapel on the grounds of Chateau Miraval, the posh estate on which they have their own winery. The private event was attended by family and friends (though not her father, Jon Voight, who was at a pre-Emmy party in L.A. that day) and their six children took part in the nondenominational ceremony.

Pitt's flick Fury hits theaters on Oct. 17 — and we'll be looking for both his and her rings on the red carpet as he promotes it.
