George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin Make Red Carpet Debut, He Spills Wedding Details

What a fetching pair of soon-to-be-weds.

With weeks to go before their wedding day, George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin have finally made their red carpet debut, attending the Celebrity Fight Night gala dinner in Florence, Italy — where Clooney, 53, was honored with a humanitarian award — together on Sunday. The Tomorrowland actor also let slip some details about their wedding.

The twosome — who first sparked romance rumors last October — looked calm, cool, and collected as they made their official debut at the event benefitting the Andrea Bocelli Foundation and the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Centre. The London-based attorney wore a floor-length, strapless black Dolce & Gabbana gown and carried a black clutch while the movie star looked like his dapper self in a tux. They held hands on the way in and, when posing for photographers, wrapped their arms around one another.

Inside the event, which was held at Palazzo Vecchio, the lovefest continued. During the dinner, the PDA-friendly pair kissed, laughed, and whispered to one another — and at one point Amal, 36, sweetly rested her head on her fiancé's shoulder.

The dark-haired beauty was on his mind when Clooney accepted his award. "I met my lovely bride to be here in Italy, whom I will be marrying, in a couple of weeks, in Venice, of all places," he told the audience, according to People magazine. Oops! We're not sure he meant to tip off the world as to the location of his nuptials, which were initially rumored to be taking place in Lake Como, where he owns a waterfront villa, later this month.

Just days before their red carpet debut, the bride-to-be seemed to be doing some wedding preparations in London. She was photographed with her mother, Barria, leaving the Alexander McQueen headquarters, prompting rumors that the design house, which made Kate Middleton's bridal gown, will be dressing Amal on her big day as well.

No matter who makes her wedding dress, one thing is for sure: Just like in these photos, they promise to be a fetching pair on their big day.
