Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin Break Up

Martin Lawrence is no more.

Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin have broken up after four months of dating, Yahoo confirms. The Hunger Games actress, 24, and Coldplay frontman, 37, began seeing each other in June, but kept their romance undercover until August.

From Los Angeles to Las Vegas, J.Law was on hand to support Chris at multiple Coldplay shows. More recently, the Oscar winner was backstage while Gwyneth Paltrow's ex performed with the Kings of Leon at the Hollywood Bowl earlier this month. For the most part, the duo preferred to keep their relationship private, opting for low-key date nights — usually at the singer's home in Malibu — and wearing matching "LOVE" pins.

According to People, "Jen is the one who broke it off with Chris," with the magazine's source adding the split is fresh. They were reportedly together as recently as Oct. 21 after Martin's friendly dinner with Paltrow, 42.

In March, Martin and Paltrow announced they were going to "consciously uncouple" 10 years of marriage. The Grammy-winning singer then hooked up with Lawrence shortly after she split from actor Nicholas Hoult.

In the November issue of Vanity Fair, Lawrence described what she was looking for in a boyfriend.

"I don’t like fighting, and I find argumentative people the most annoying people on the planet. Like, why do you still want to be fighting? It's just unattractive," Lawrence said. "We should both just move on and watch TV. Basically, what I'm saying is all I need in a relationship is somebody to watch TV with me."

Another important quality she listed is someone who "isn't afraid to fart in front of me [rather] than to have big, passionate love. I'd rather have just a peaceful time. [Those relationships] are deeper because you can be your true self with somebody, and somebody can be their true self with you."

We're not sure whether Martin failed to live up to Lawrence's standards, but Us Weekly quotes an unnamed source saying the relationship was "rocky" due to their "insane" schedules. "They really like each other," the insider claimed, "but it's just so complicated with so much going on."

Lawrence is gearing up for a worldwide press tour for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1, which hits theaters on Nov. 21.
