Rihanna Is Ready for Bedtime in the Big Apple
Who needs to get dressed before leaving the house? Certainly not Rihanna!
The Barbados born babe, 26, headed to meetings in New York City on Tuesday in nothing but a pink, silk nightgown. She paired the slinky number, which featured spaghetti straps and lace appliqués along the chest, with several gold necklaces, bracelets, and rings, and a pair of black Converse sneakers. Later, she covered up with a jean jacket.
Swapping her bed wear for daywear is nothing new for the star. On the Fourth of July, the "Diamonds" singer stepped out in a fiery, sheer, lace negligée for a party at Hooray Henry's in West Hollywood, California. She polished off the spicy look with a set of matching, stripy sandals, bright red lipstick, and sunglasses.
While the slip dress may have been more revealing than the pink nightie, the way RiRi styled it — and the fact that she wore it out to a club — makes it marginally more acceptable. Still, walking around in long, silk pajamas in the middle of the day isn't exactly something you see very often… even in NYC.
Of course, neither of these wardrobe choices can be considered all that wild when compared to the "naked dress" from Adam Selman that she wore to the CFDA Awards on June 2.
Perhaps the trendsetting superstar is just one step ahead of us and has figured out that if she wears nightgowns as clothes, she can go straight home and hit the hay without changing. We just hopes she stops and brushes her teeth first.
