Emma Watson rarely has time for selfies.

The Harry Potter actress, 24, is usually busy studying (she graduated from Brown University in May), acting, or working to improve the world in some way to post many tweets or photos. She hasn't exactly been a force on social media... until this month.

Watson, who was named a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations in July, gave an impassioned speech on gender equality to the U.N. on Sept. 20 that went viral and spurred several moments of online awesomeness. She inspired oohs, awws, celebs, and even one particularly clever 15-year-old boy... all in one day.

In fact, you might just call her the Best Person on the Internet This Month. We did.

Read on to find out the reasons:

1. Her powerful speech: The main thing that won Watson the title is the powerful address she delivered launching the U.N.'s HeForShe campaign. Watson spoke calmly and convincingly about a subject she obviously cares a lot about: why men should be feminists. It's no wonder countless men were won over. Well, men and boys.

The speech was so impactful, it moved 15-year-old Ed Holtom to pen a letter to the London Telegraph applauding Watson and urging his "ignorant" classmates and otherwise to pay attention. "We must not let gender define us," he smartly sympathized. Read his full letter below, and keep in mind that this was just one instance of Emma inspiring others to take action:

2. Her zen response to the photo hackers: When several female celebs, such as Vanessa Hudgens and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, were victims of a photo hacking scandal early in the month, Watson was quick to stand up for them.

Later, after Watson's speech, supposedly the hackers set their sights on Watson and threatened to release nude images of her with the website EmmaYouAreNext.com. The "threats" later proved to be a hoax, but it didn't matter anyway. Watson didn't respond to the threats publicly at all, and kept her social media messages positive.

3. All the fab photos she inspired: Although Watson hasn't posted many images herself to social media, her HeForShe initiative, encouraging men to stand up for gender equality, prompted famous and non-famous men alike to post photos of themselves with the campaign's hashtag, #HeForShe. Matt Damon, Tom Hiddleston, and Emile Hirsch were among the celebs who participated.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt went even further and filmed a video for his website, hitRECord, explaining why he's a feminist and soliciting videos of others doing the same.

Common sense tells you that more JGL on the Internet means a much more beautiful world. Thanks, Emma!

4. She's embracing social media: Speaking of shared photos, Watson joined Instagram in July and, in the last two months, she's posted exactly two pics. In September alone, though, she posted three. No one is asking her to share as often as the Kardashians, but it's awesome to hear from her more. The actor/advocate even participated in Throwback Thursday.

Well done, Emma, well done.
