Acer Malaysia launches its 2-in-1 Aspire Switch 10, alongside some new Acer Iconia tablets, affordable Aspire E-series notebooks and new Acer Aspire All-in-Ones (AIO). The new portfolio enlarges Acer Malaysia’s already broad range of products that offer great performance and flexibility at an affordable price to help people get more connected, and making technology more accessible with just a touch.
The Switch 10 is a notebook and tablet combined in one flexible device that easily switches between four modes for touch, typing, viewing and sharing. The smart device sports a magnetic detachable Acer Snap Hinge design for easy transition between modes, latch-free keyboard docking and optional additional storage capabilities. The device is powered by Intel’s new quad-core Atom Z3745 processor, and runs Windows 8.1. The keyboard dock packs a 500GB hard drive, bolstering the 32GB found in the slate. The Switch 10 is priced at RM 1,399.
The Acer Iconia One 7 is a 7in tablet powered by an Intel Atom Z2560 processor and boasts 40% more battery life than its predecessor the Acer Iconia B1-720. It is the ultimate device for modern day explorers who want to enjoy entertainment in a stylish design with vibrant colour options. The sleeker Iconia A1-830 rocks the same processor, but comes in an aluminium build, and its display resolution is 1024 x 768 pixels, compared to the 1280 x 800 pixels on the Iconia One 7. The 4:3 form factor of the Iconia A1-830 makes it a better reading companion, while the 16:9 on the Iconia One 7 makes it a better media tablet. The Iconia One 7 is priced at RM 399, while the Iconia A1-830 comes in at RM 599.
The Acer Aspire E-series notebooks come in a variety of colours to accentuate the users’ personalities. With battery life lasting up to 7 hours, these Windows 8 pre-loaded notebooks offers optimized productivity and infotainment. The Acer Aspire ES1-511 is one of the most affordably priced E-series notebooks. It comes in a 15.6-inch display, powered by Intel® quad-core processor while running seamlessly with pre-loaded Windows® 8.1 with Bing.
Last but not least, the new Acer Aspire All-in-One (AIO) series provides vibrant and clear wide angle viewing, designed to fit ideally into today’s space conscious lifestyle. The Acer Aspire U5-620 (RM 3,499) is for users who appreciate premium design and performance in a PC that can also serve as the home’s digital entertainment hub. The U5-620 was recently recognised with the Computex Taipei Design & Innovation (d&i) Award for outstanding industrial design. The mainstream Aspire Z3-615 (Rm 2,399) offers a bigger screen at a more affordable price without compromising on usability. The 19.5-inch Aspire ZC-606 (RM 1,299) is a slim AIO that provides maximum visual experience and entertainment.
