Starting the New Year with a new product is Sony with its new Xperia Tablet S. The tablet joining the Xperia family allows users target a seamless experience between Xperia smartphone’s convenience and the tablet’s immersive entertainment value.

Thinner and lighter than the original Sony Tablet S, Xperia Tablet S is enveloped in aluminium casing for looks and comfortable handling around the home or on the move. Running NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor and Android 4.0.3 operating system, Sony wants to ensure a smooth experience for users out there.

Additionally, the Xperia Tablet S is splash-proof. This means there’s no need to worry about casual water spillages when in the rain or in the kitchen. Just make sure to plug all the connectors up to avoid water going inside the tablet.

There is also Sony’s own ‘Small Apps’ for quick access and multitasking purposes. You can add your favourite widgets to ‘Small Apps’ and make it your personal multi-tasking tool. The best feature so far is the ‘Guest mode’ that lets you create individual profiles for family members and visitors. Set wallpaper, icons and apps access to make the experience different for each person. This is great for parental control and avoiding people from looking at your private data.

The new Xperia Tablet S WiFi +3G with 16GB internal storage is priced at RM1,799 while the 32GB is at RM1,999. For those who want the WiFi only variant, it is available with 16GB internal storage at RM1,399.
