Ex-Chelsea striker Adrian Mutu to star in new Snoop Dogg video for some reason

Adrian Mutu has enjoyed a decent career, albeit one blighted by two failed drugs tests and an ongoing legal wrangle with former employee Chelsea after he tested positive for cocaine consumption in 2004. Now, it appears the Romanian forward has found his new calling in the dramatic arts, as he's the star of a new Snoop Dogg music video.

The hip-hop clip — being shot in Hungary because of course it is — features Mutu enjoying the sights and sounds of a strip club while wearing a sharp suit, smoking a cigar and escorting a beautiful lady on his arm. It's basically the fantasy scenario of 99% of professional footballers.

The video's Italian director Massimo Caroletti — a man once accused of extorting a Sampdoria player after allegedly entrapping him with a pornstar — is a big fan of Mutu, who has spent the bulk of his career in Serie A. He said:

'I’ve known (Adrian Mutu) for two years and we’ve built a friendship that grows stronger every day. I respect him very much because he is sincere and serious person. From my point of view, his future is in showbiz.'

Mutu is currently captain of Romanian side Petrolul Ploiești, but this experience could be the stepping stone for the 35-year-old's transition into acting. He certainly seems to be enjoying the view at the moment.

Incidentally, this is by no means Snoop's first crossover into the world of football, as he once flirted with the idea of buying Celtic, championing "proper athlete" Georgios Samaras as one of his favorite players.
