KUALA LUMPUR, 28 Sept (Bernama) -- Perdana Menteri hari ini mengumumkan

pelaksanaan program Bantuan Rakyat 1Malaysia (BR1M) buat kali kedua, dengan

kriteria penerima diperluas kepada individu bujang berumur 21 tahun ke atas yang

berpendapatan tidak lebih RM2,000 sebulan, yang akan menerima bantuan RM250.

Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak berkata bantuan yang dikenali sebagai BR1M 2.0

itu melibatkan peruntukan RM3 bilion dan mula dibayar awal tahun depan itu akan

memberi manfaat kepada 4.3 juta isi rumah serta 2.7 juta individu bujang.

Beliau berkata bagi memudahkan pelaksanaan, penerima sebelum ini tidak lagi

perlu mendaftar untuk kali kedua, manakala pemohon baru boleh mendaftar mulai

November ini secara online atau datang sendiri ke kaunter di Pejabat Pembangunan

Negeri, Pejabat Daerah dan Pejabat Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri di seluruh negara.

"Hakikatnya bantuan kepada isi rumah dan individu bujang ini bukanlah satu

langkah populis, malah manifestasi sebuah kerajaan yang bertanggungjawab dan

mampu mengurus kewangan negara dengan berhemah," katanya semasa membentangkan

Belanjawan 2013 di Dewan Rakyat di sini.

BR1M 2.0 merupakan susulan kepada BR1M tahun ini yang menyaksikan kerajaan

persekutuan memberi bantuan RM500 kepada setiap isi rumah berpendapatan RM3,000

sebulan ke bawah, yang dimanfaatkan oleh 4.3 juta isi rumah, yang membabitkan

peruntukan kerajaan menjangkau hampir RM2.16 bilion.

NAJIB-BELANJAWAN (BR1M) 2 KUALA LUMPUR

Selain BR1M, kerajaan turut menampilkan beberapa lagi langkah bagi membantu

meringankan bebanan rakyat seperti pengenalan Kedai Rakyat 1Malaysia (KR1M),

Baucar Buku 1Malaysia (BB1M) dan banyak lagi.

Perdana Menteri berkata kerajaan akan memperuntukkan RM386 juta untuk

membuka 57 lagi KR1M di Sabah, Sarawak dan Labuan dalam usaha menyeragam harga

barangan keperluan di kawasan itu dengan Semenanjung Malaysia, di samping

merendahkan lagi harganya.

Beliau berkata secara umum harga barangan keperluan di kawasan itu adalah

lebih mahal berbanding di Semenanjung Malaysia disebabkan kos penghantaran dan

pengagihan yang tinggi, dan kerajaan menampilkan pelbagai inisiatif bagi

menanganinya termasuk Program Penyeragaman Harga, pemberian subsidi pengangkutan

dan pembukaan kedai KR1M.

Najib berkata kerajaan juga akan menanggung kos penghantaran produk dari

Semenanjung Malaysia ke Sabah, Sarawak dan Labuan, termasuk penghantaran ke

kawasan pedalaman.

"Sebagai contoh di Ba''Kelalan, Sarawak, gas memasak 14 kg setong dijual pada

harga RM70. Dengan program penyeragaman harga, gas memasak itu boleh dibeli

hanya dengan harga RM26.60 setong," katanya.

Najib berkata bagi BB1M pula, program itu akan diteruskan kepada setiap

penuntut Institusi Pengajian Tinggi dan pra-universiti dengan nilai baucar

ditingkatkan daripada RM200 kepada RM250, dan langkah itu melibatkan peruntukan

RM325 juta dan memanfaatkan 1.3 juta penuntut di seluruh negara.
