KUALA LUMPUR, 16 Jan (Bernama) -- Jumlah dagangan di Bursa Malaysia

Derivatif (BMD) meningkat 14 peratus atau 1.15 juta kontrak kepada 9.59 juta

kontrak tahun lepas daripada 8.44 juta 2011.

Bursa Malaysia dalam satu kenyataan hari ini berkata pasaran derivatif kukuh

sepanjang tahun itu dengan jumlah dagangan yang diniagakan dan kepentingan

terbuka melonjak ke paras ketinggian baharu, mengatasi rekod sebelumnya dan

menetapkan penanda aras baharu.

Ia berkata kepentingan terbuka bagi semua produk mencecah paras paling

tinggi sebanyak 214,065 kontrak pada 31 Dis, 2012, manakala kepentingan terbuka

bagi minyak sawit mentah juga memecah rekod ketinggian baharu sebanyak

173,649 kontrak pada hari yang sama.

"Perkembangan ini sangat menggalakkan. Kami berharap momentum akan

berterusan ke 2013 dan selepasnya," kata Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif BMD Chong Kim

Seng.

Pada September tahun lepas, BMD memenangi anugerah Inovasi Teknologi Terbaik

oleh Bursa Asia di Majlis Anugerah Niaga Hadapan dan Opsyen Asia.

Bursa Derivatif juga muncul sebagai pemenang kedua bagi Bursa Derivatif

Terbaik Tahun Ini, berdasarkan kepada beberapa faktor termasuk akses yang mudah

dan hubungan global pasaran derivatif Malaysia.
