Dynamo sets track alight in Mercedes-Benz challenge
What does it take to impress Formula One legend David Coulthard? When its renown magician, Dynamo, it seems one must have more than one trick up one's sleeve in a startling display of mind reading.
The feat involved a circuit specially created by David Coulthard. David then then drove around it in a Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG, setting a lap pace of 38.57 seconds. Dynamo asked David to guess how long he thought it would take Dynamo to navigate the same circuit – but not to reveal his estimate. Dynamo then set out to beat that estimated time whilst blindfolded - and with parts of the track set on fire - while David was in the passenger seat.
Getting around the track unscathed was impressive enough to David, but the real awe came when Dynamo revealed the true outcome in the never-seen-before challenge - Dynamo correctly predicted, and spelt out, David's guess of his lap time, 1:25, in flames, across the track.
