BESUT, 25 Mac (Bernama) – Empat anggota Kelab Wartawan Terengganu (KAWAT)

menerima surat penghargaan sempena Sambutan Hari Polis Ke-206 peringkat daerah

Besut yang diadakan di pekarangan Ibu Pejabat Polis Kampung Raja hari ini.

Mereka ialah Nordin Mahadi yang mewakili Pertubuhan Berita Nasional Malaysia

(Bernama), Mohd Taha Yaakob dari Sinar Harian, Kamaruddin Hamzah (Utusan

Malaysia) dan Mohamed Ishak (Berita Harian).

Mereka menerima surat penghargaan bersama 15 orang awam, yang disampaikan

Ketua Polis Daerah Besut Superintenden Kamaruddin Mohd Zakaria, berdasarkan

penglibatan mereka menjayakan beberapa aktiviti pasukan keselamatan itu dan

membantu membanteras jenayah.

Turut hadir pada sambutan yang membabitkan lebih 100 pegawai dan anggota

polis, termasuk Kadet Polis dan Rela, ialah anggota Dewan Undangan Negeri (Adun)

Jerteh Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh, Adun Kota Putera Muhammad Pehimi Yusof, Pegawai

Daerah Besut A Rahim Jusoh dan ketua jabatan.

Pada majlis itu, lebih 30 pegawai dan anggota polis turut menerima surat

penghargaan termasuk anggota Perkep.

Selepas itu, Kamaruddin dan pegawai kanan serta anggota lain menziarah

pusara ASP Zulkifli Mamat, yang terkorban dalam insiden serangan hedap oleh

pengganas militant di Kampung Tandou, Lahad Datu, Sabah, di Tanah Perkuburan

Gong Bayor sebelum ke rumah ibunya, di Kampung Kubang Ikan.

Selepas itu, mereka menziarah keluarga ACP Ibrahim Lebar di Kampung Lay Out,

Jabi.
