Enjoyable Super Tenere

The Super Ténéré Worldcrosser shows globetrotting explorers a new way to travel throughout the world

It is hard to imagine how Yamaha could improve on an already superb motorcycle, but the legendary Japanese manufacturer did so with its 2012 Yamaha Super Tenere Worldcrosser concept. The big-displacement Super Tenere is a fun adventure-tourer that balances Japanese economics with robust features usually found only on European machines.

Designed to be a more rugged and off-road oriented variant of the earlier Super T, the Worldcrosser is ready for production. Equipped with protective covers, extra aluminium and carbon pieces, and the usual knobby tyres, the Yamaha Super Tenere Worldcrosser is an imposing figure on the eyes. The base Super Tenere was a motorcycle that leaned more to the on-road side of the adventure-touring equation, but the Super Tenere Worldcrosser seems to lean more towards the other way.
