Hotel rates fall across Europe

Between December 2012 and January 2013, Geneva is the only European capital where rates increased, by 4 percent, for an average night's stay costing €220. In all the other capitals studied by the trivago-Relaxnews barometer hotel prices have gone down.

Vienna and London saw some of the most significant drops by 17 percent and 14 percent respectively, while in Paris and Berlin the average prices have gone down slightly, both in comparison to last December and over the whole year.
