MAKKAH, 26 Sept (Bernama) -- Kumpulan pertama seramai 312 jemaah haji

Malaysia selamat tiba di kota suci Makkah dari Madinah awal hari ini.

Mereka tiba kira-kira pukul 1 pagi Rabu (7 pagi waktu Malaysia) di hotel

Janadiriyyah yang merupakan satu daripada 15 hotel di Makkah yang disewa oleh

Tabung Haji bagi menempatkan hampir 28,000 jemaah haji Malaysia sepanjang musim

haji kali ini.

Menurut Ketua Rombongan Haji Malaysia Datuk Syed Saleh Syed Abdul Rahman

kumpulan pertama itu bertolak dari Madinah dengan bas pada pukul 5 petang Selasa

(11 malam waktu Malaysia) dan selamat tiba di Makkah selepas mengharungi

perjalanan selama lapan jam.

Beliau berkata selepas berehat dan bersarapan pagi, jemaah haji yang

berpakaian ihram kemudian berjalan beramai-ramai menuju ke Masjidil Haram yang

terletak kira-kira 1km dari tempat penginapan mereka dengan diketuai oleh

seorang mutawif atau pembimbing serta petugas Tabung Haji bagi melaksanakan

ibadah umrah.

Syed Saleh berkata berbeza daripada tahun sebelumnya, bagasi milik jemaah

haji tiba sehari lebih awal di Makkah dan dimasukan ke dalam bilik jemaah haji

seperti yang telah ditetapkan.

"Ini membolehkan para jemaah fokus kepada soal ibadah sebaik sahaja mereka

menjejakkan kaki di kota suci Makkah," katanya kepada wartawan Malaysia di hotel

Janadiriyyah yang juga dijadikan pusat pentadbiran Tabung Haji ketika musim

Haji.

Syed Saleh berkata buat masa sekarang keadaan dalam Masjidil Haram masih

belum sesak dan jemaah haji Malaysia dapat melaksanakan ibadah umrah seperti

tawaf dan saie dengan selesa.

Beliau berkata ekoran cuaca panas di Makkah yang mencecah hampir 30 darjah

celcius, maka jemaah haji diminta supaya tidak terlalu lama terdedah dalam panas

cahaya matahari.

Katanya seramai 350 petugas haji telahpun berada di Makkah jumlah itu akan

bertambah sehingga ke 600 orang apabila tiba musim haji nanti musim haji.
