SINGAPURA, 21 Jun (Bernama) -- Keadaan jerebu di Singapura bertambah buruk

dengan Indeks Pencemaran Udara (IPU) yang dicatat 11 pagi ini mencecah tahap

berbahaya iaitu 400, kata Agensi Alam Sekitar Nasional (NEA).

Bacaan IPU antara kosong dan 50 dikategori sebagai baik; 51 hingga 100,

sederhana; 101 hingga 200, tidak sihat; 201 hingga 300, sangat tidak sihat; dan

lebih 301, berbahaya.

Perdana Menteri Lee Hsien Loong pada sidang akhbar semalam memberi amaran

kepada rakyat Singapura bahawa keadaan itu dijangka berterusan untuk beberapa

minggu.

"Kami tidak dapat memberitahu jangka masa masalah jerebu ini. Ia mungkin

berlanjutan selama beberapa minggu, dan mungkin agak panjang sehingga musim

kemarau berakhir di Sumatera. Kita perlu menyesuaikan tindakan kita dengan

perubahan keadaan dan melindungi diri kita dengan cara yang lebih praktikal,"

katanya.

Singapura telah menubuhkan Jawatankuasa Jerebu Antara Kementerian (HIMC)

untuk menyelia usaha menyeluruh di peringkat nasional.

JEREBU-SINGAPURA 2 SINGAPURA

Jerebu asap daripada pembakaran hutan di Sumatera, bagi membersihkan tanah

untuk pertanian, telah dibawa tiupan angin dari barat daya atau barat dan

memberi kesan kepada Singapura serta beberapa negeri di semenanjung Malaysia.

Sementara itu, wakil Singapura mengadakan mesyuarat tergempar dengan pegawai

Indonesia di Jakarta semalam untuk membincangkan keadaan jerebu yang semakin

teruk.

Mesyuarat itu diatur Kementerian Luar Indonesia melibatkan pegawai kanan

Indonesia, kata kenyataan yang dikeluarkan NEA.

Singapura menegaskan jerebu tetap merupakan masalah rentas sempadan yang

bukan sahaja memberi kesan ke atas Indonesia tetapi juga negara serantau.

Indonesia memberi jaminan kepada Singapura bahawa ia akan memberi lebih

perhatian kepada isu itu.

Pada mesyuarat itu, Indonesia memberi taklimat mengenai rancangannya

meningkatkan keupayaan menangani kebakaran dan memastikan agensi-agensinya

membuat laporan dua kali sehari kepada pasukan petugas kebangsaan yang

dipengerusikan Menteri Koordinasi bagi Kebajikan Rakyat, Agung Laksono.

JEREBU-SINGAPURA 3 (AKHIR) SINGAPURA

Indonesia juga bercadang meningkatkan penguatkuasaan undang-undang di

lapangan dengan menghantar penyiasat ke Bengkalis bagi mengambil tindakan ke

atas syarikat-syarikat perladangan yang tidak bertanggungjawab.

Berikutan ada laporan dari Kementerian Perhutanan Indonesia bahawa

syarikat-syarikat Singapura mungkin terlibat dalam aktiviti pembakaran haram,

Singapura meminta Indonesia berkongsi nama syarikat yang terlibat walaupun

tanggungjawab untuk mengambil tindakan undang-undang dan penguatkuasaan terhadap

syarikat-syarikat itu terletak di tangan Indonesia.

Ia menekankan adalah lebih baik jika Indonesia mendedahkan kesemua syarikat

yang terlibat dalam tindakan itu tanpa mengira sama ada mereka berdaftar di

Indonesia, Malaysia atau Singapura agar mereka boleh dikenakan tindakan.

Singapura juga menawarkan pakej bantuan kepada Indonesia sama seperti

sebelum ini yang antara lain ialah sebuah pesawat bagi operasi pembenihan

awan dan gambar satelit dengan resolusi tinggi dan koordinat titik panas.

Singapura turut meminta Indonesia mengesahkan Perjanjian Jerebu Merentas

Sempadan Asean yang ditandatangani Indonesia pada 2002. Indonesia memaklumkan

Singapura bahawa mereka akan mendapatkan kelulusan Parlimen berhubung perkara

itu.
