KUALA LUMPUR, 11 Mei (Bernama) -- Perkhidmatan konsular di Kedutaan Filipina

di sini akan ditutup Isnin ini bagi memberi laluan kepada rakyat negara itu yang

berada di sini mengundi pada pilihan raya Filipina.

Menurut satu kenyataan hari ini, kedutaan itu bagaimanapun akan menerima

pengundi yang mahu melaksanakan tanggungjawab mereka.

"Pengundian akan ditutup pukul 7 malam waktu Manila (sama zon dengan

Malaysia), dan kedutaan tidak akan menerima pengundi lagi serta mula mengira

undi," kata kenyataan itu.

Menurut kenyataan itu, Pejabat Presiden Filipina telah mengisytiharkan hari

itu sebagai cuti umum khas bagi membolehkan rakyatnya menunaikan tanggungjawab

masing-masing.

Kedutaan itu dibuka hari ini dan esok bagi membolehkan mereka yang berkenaan

mengundi.

Operasi kedutaan kembali seperti biasa pada Selasa.
