KOTA KINABALU, 4 Julai (Bernama) -- Kerajaan negeri bersama-sama kerajaan

Persekutuan sentiasa komited untuk merealisasikan pelbagai projek dan inisiatif

bagi menambah baik dan mempertingkatkan lagi sistem pengangkutan awam yang sedia

ada di Sabah.

Ketua Menteri Datuk Seri Musa Aman berkata kerajaan juga akan

melipatgandakan usaha bagi membangunkan infrastruktur dan kemudahan sokongan

untuk pengangkutan awam bagi memberi keselesaan kepada rakyat keseluruhannya.

"Oleh itu, saya menyeru kepada semua agensi pelaksana, pihak berkuasa

tempatan, pengusaha pengangkutan awam dan sektor swasta agar memainkan peranan

penting untuk mencapai visi pengangkutan awam yang cekap, selamat, mesra

penggunan, mudah capai dan mesra alam," katanya ketika berucap pada majlis

pelancaran Perkhidmatan Bas Ekspres Bumimas Sdn. Bhd di Terminal Bas Inanam, di

sini hari ini.

Chee Kang.

Musa yang juga Menteri Kewangan negeri berkata komitmen pelbagai pihak

terutamanya agensi pelaksana dan penguatkuasa amat penting ke arah usaha

menaikt araf sistem pengangkutan awam negara, khususnya di Sabah.

Selain itu, Musa juga berkata kerajaan sentiasa berusaha menggalakkan

penyertaan lebih ramai bumiputera dalam bidang perniagaan dan keusahawanan,

termasuk sektor pengangkutan awam.

Ini selaras matlamat untuk mewujudkan masyarakat perdagangan dan

perindustrian bumiputera (MPPB) yang berdaya tahan, katanya.

Sambil menyambut baik usaha pihak pengurusan Salam Bumimas Sdn. Bhd, beliau

percaya usaha tersebut dapat membantu kerajaan mempertingkatkan keselesaan dan

kesejahteraan rakyat sekali gus menepati sasaran Bidang Keberhasilan Utama

Negara (NKRA).

Beliau turut berharap para pengusaha pengangkutan awam akan terus memberikan

perkhidmatan terbaik dan berkualiti kepada pelanggan selaras dengan Kod Amalan

Keselamatan, Kesihatan dan Persekitaran yang diperkenalkan.
