melancarkan operasi bersepadu secara besar-besaran selepas Hari Raya Aidilfitri

ini bagi mengesan dan menahan pendatang tanpa izin di negara ini.

Menterinya Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi berkata operasi melibatkan

polis, Jabatan Imigresen dan Ikatan Relawan Rakyat Malaysia (Rela) itu akan

meliputi kawasan perniagaan, perladangan, kilang dan kawasan pembinaan di

seluruh negara.

Beliau berkata pihaknya memandang serius terhadap masalah yang seringkali

ditimbulkan oleh pendatang tanpa izin antaranya masalah jenayah, dadah dan


"Gerakan memburu pendatang tanpa izin ini adalah untuk membuktikan bahawa

kerajaan serius dalam membendung masalah sosial serta menjamin keselamatan

negara," katanya pada sidang media selepas menghadiri majlis berbuka puasa

bersama warga Imigresen di Ibu Pejabat Imigresen di sini malam ini.

Ahmad Zahid berkata sepanjang Ramadan ini, seramai 120 pendatang tanpa izin

ditangkap atas kesalahan berniaga tanpa permit dan tiada dokumen perjalanan yang




Majlis itu turut dihadiri oleh Timbalan Menteri Dalam Negeri, Datuk Dr Wan

Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar dan Ketua Pengarah Imigresen Datuk Alias Ahmad.

Mengenai Program Penyelesaian Menyeluruh Pekerja Asing dan Pendatang Asing

Tanpa Izin (6P), Ahmad Zahid berkata ia telah menunjukkan hasil yang positif

apabila seramai 1.3 juta orang telah berdaftar sejak dilancarkan pada Julai


Beliau menjelaskan daripada jumlah itu, seramai 500,000 telah melalui proses

pemutihan, 330,000 telah pulang ke negara asal manakala bakinya masih dalam

proses pemutihan untuk dihantar pulang.
