hoki Piala Asia 2013 dengan kemenangan tipis 4-3 ke atas India pada final di

Stadium Hoki Sultan Azlan Shah di sini malam ini.

Selaku juara benua, Korea Selatan secara merit layak ke Piala Dunia 2014 di

The Hague, Belanda.

Sebelum perlawanan ini, Korea Selatan sudah pun mengesahkan tempat ke Piala

Dunia 2014 sebagai status pasukan simpanan pertama.

Korea Selatan dan India masing-masing menduduki tempat keempat dan keenam

pada separuh akhir Kejohanan Liga Dunia tahun ini.

India pula menjadi pasukan simpanan keempat selepas Sepanyol di tangga kedua

dan Malaysia di tangga ketiga dalam senarai simpanan.

Mengikut peraturan Persekutuan Hoki Antarabangsa (FIH), pasukan yang sudah

pun tersenarai dalam Piala Dunia 2014 tetapi memenangi kejohanan benua, maka

slot tersebut akan diisi oleh pasukan simpanan.

SUKAN-HOKI (FINAL) 2 IPOH

Maka India, selaku pasukan simpanan keempat, sudah pasti beraksi pada Piala

Dunia 2014 dari 31 Mei hingga 15 Jun tahun depan.

Pada pertemuan sengit itu, Kang Moon Kweon menafikan India laluan automatik

ke Piala Dunia 2014 apabila menjaringkan gol kemenangan Korea Selatan pada minit

ke-68.

Biarpun sudah mengesahkan tempat ke Piala Dunia 2014 sebelum turun ke final,

namun Korea Selatan enggan memberi peluang sebaliknya menampilkan gerakan rancak

untuk mendahului 2-0 pada separuh masa.

Jang Jong Hyun membuka tirai jaringan menerusi pukulan sudut penalti pada

minit ke-28 dan seminit kemudian You Hyo Sik menambah jaringan menerusi gol

padang.

India, yang terdesak untuk merangkul kejuaraan, bangkit pada babak kedua

perlawanan dengan Rupinder Pal Singh merapatkan jurang jaringan pada minit ke-48

menerusi pukulan sudut penalti.

SUKAN-HOKI (FINAL) 3 (AKHIR) IPOH

India kemudianya berjaya menyamakan kedudukan 2-2 menerusi gol padang yang

dijaringan oleh Nikkin Thimmaiah pada minit ke-55.

Selang dua minit kemudian, Nam Hyun Woo menjaringkan gol ketiga Korea

Selatan menerusi pukulan penalti.

India kembali berjaya menyamakan kedudukan menerusi gol padang yang

dihasilkan oleh Mandeep Singh pada minit ke-65.

Kegembiraan India tidak kekal lama apabila Moon Kweon menjaringkan gol

kemenangan untuk Korea Selatan mempertahankan kejuaraan.
