KUALA PENYU, 12 Jan (Bernama) -- Kementerian Penerangan Komunikasi dan

Kebudayaan (KPKK) mengemukakan 70 model telefon pintar yang boleh dipilih belia

bagi mendapat rebat RM200 Pakej Telekomunikasi Belia (PKB).

Menterinya Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim berkata model telefon berkenaan akan

dipapar menerusi laman sesawang Suruhanjaya Komunikasi dan Multimedia Malaysia

(SKMM) bagi membolehkan belia membuat perbandingan harga di pasaran.

"SKMM akan terus memantau pendaftaran itu menerusi Internet dan kini 187,000

mendaftar untuk mendapatkan rebat RM200 Pakej Komunikasi Belia bagi pembelian

telefon pintar," katanya.

Beliau berkata demikian ketika merasmikan program Himpunan Kasih Sayang,

Klik Dengan Bijak dan Nilai-nilai Murni peringkat negeri Sabah di Menumbok,

dekat sini hari ini.

Beliau berkata kementerian juga akan menyenaraikan 1,000 outlet dan penjual

alat telekomunikasi yang menyertai PKB di seluruh negara.

Di bawah program itu yang diumum Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak

semasa membentangkan Belanjawan 2013, belia berusia antara 21 dan 30 tahun layak

menerima rebat RM200 bagi pembelian telefon pintar.

Program Himpunan Kasih Sayang yang berlangsung selama dua hari sejak semalam

itu dianjur SKMM Sabah dan Labuan dengan kerjasama beberapa agensi di bawah

KPKK.

Program yang dimeriahkan pelbagai lapisan masyarakat itu turut dihadiri

Ketua Setiausaha kementerian Datuk Seri Kamaruddin Siaraf, Menteri Pembangunan

Masyarakat dan Hal Ehwal Pengguna Sabah yang juga Anggota Dewan Undangan Negeri

(Adun) Klias Datuk Azizah Mohd Dun, pemangku Pengerusi Umno Beaufort Isnin
