NARATHIWAT, 7 Sept (Bernama) -- Kumpulan pertama jemaah haji Thailand, yang

terdiri daripada 479 orang dari selatan negara ini, berlepas ke Arab Saudi hari

ini dengan dua penerbangan dari sini.

Ini merupakan kali pertama Lapangan Terbang Narathiwat digunakan untuk

tujuan berkenaan.

Penerbangan pertama berlepas pada 1.35 petang dan dijadual tiba di Jeddah

pukul 8.45 malam manakala penerbangan kedua berlepas pada 4.05 petang dan tiba

di Jeddah pukul 11.15 malam.

Majlis pelepasan jemaah haji disempurnakan Timbalan Perdana Menteri Thailand

Pracha Promnok.

Pada keseluruhannya, sebanyak 94 penerbangan dijadual membawa jemaah haji

dari Thailand iaitu dua dari Lapangan Terbang Narathiwat, tujuh dari Lapangan

Terbang Antarabangsa Haadyai, 21 dari Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Phuket dan

64 lagi dari Lapangan Terbangan Antarabangsa Suvarnabhumi di Bangkok.



Sementara itu, Pengarah Pengurusan Haji Thailand Dr Ismail Ali berharap

bilangan penerbangan dari Narathiwat ke Jeddah atau Madinah akan ditambah tahun


Beliau berkata kerajaan Thailand turut menghantar sekumpulan pegawai,

termasuk kumpulan petugas kesihatan, bagi menguruskan kemudahan jemaah haji.

"Ini adalah usaha yang dibantu dan ditanggung oleh kerajaan Thailand untuk

kemudahan jemaah haji yang musafir untuk menunaikan fardu haji setiap tahun,"


Seorang jemaah haji, Qamariah Muktar, 40, dari Kampong Maenae, Muang amat

bersyukur kerana dapat menunaikan haji tahun ini selepas mendaftar dua tahun

lepas dan beliau berterima kasih kepada kerajaan Thailand kerana mengadakan

penerbangan ke Mekah dari Lapangan Terbang Narathiwat.

Rahman Abdullah, 63, dari Benangsetar, wilayah Yala turut bersyukur dan

berterima kasih atas bantuan kerajaan Thailand.

"Saya rasa gembira. Alhamdulillah, syukur kepada Allah kerana kita tidak

perlu berjalan jauh, tidak keletihan sangat," katanya.
