KUALA LUMPUR, 17 Jun (Bernama) -- Bakal jemaah haji yang telah menyelesaikan

urusan pendaftaran pengesahan dan persetujuan tawaran menunaikan haji bagi musim

1434H, tidak terjejas meskipun kuota jemaah haji Malaysia berkurangan sebanyak

20 peratus pada tahun ini.

"Tawaran tidak akan ditarik balik. Bakal jemaah haji itu disaran meneruskan

persiapan menunaikan ibadah haji seperti biasa," demikian menurut Lembaga Tabung

Haji (TH) dalam satu kenyataan hari ini.

TH juga menyarankan bakal jemaah yang terpilih namun belum memberikan

jawapan, agar berbuat demikian dengan segera.

"Bakal jemaah haji berkenaan akan dimaklumkan mengenai status mereka melalui

surat panggilan kursus intensif haji yang sedang dan akan dijalankan," menurut

kenyataan itu.

Menurut TH, bagi yang menghantar surat rayuan untuk menunaikan ibadah haji

pada tahun ini, jika mereka tidak menerima apa-apa maklumat lanjut sehingga

akhir Ramadan 1434H, ia bermakna rayuan mereka gagal.

KUOTA-HAJI 2 (AKHIR) KUALA LUMPUR

Pengurangan kuota jemaah haji itu adalah berikutan arahan terbaharu kerajaan

Arab Saudi berikutan kerja pembesaran Masjidil Haram di Makkah.

TH berharap orang ramai, terutama bakal jemaah haji, dapat menerima

keputusan itu serta memahami keadaan kerana pengurangan kuota adalah bersifat

sementara, yang dijangka berkuat kuasa dalam tempoh dua atau tiga tahun.

"Apabila projek mega ini siap, ia mampu menampung jemaah yang lebih ramai

dari seluruh dunia dan menjamin keselesaan ketika menunaikan ibadah rukun kelima

Islam itu," menurut TH.
