Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Najib Razak perlu membentangkan kertas putih kepada Dewan Rakyat bulan ini berkenaan tindakan dan keputusan yang diambil oleh Jawatankuasa Khas yang dibentuk untuk meneliti Laporan Ketua Audit Negara 2012, kata Lim Kit Siang (gambar)

Pembentukan Jawatankuasa Khas itu telah diumumkan kelmarin oleh Ketua Setiausaha Negara Tan Sri Ali Hamsa yang akan mempengerusikan jawatankuasa khas berkenaan.

Ia akan turut dianggotai oleh ketua pengarah Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam, Peguam Negara, dan juga wakil-wakil daripada Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia, Kementerian Kewangan dan Polis Diraja Malaysia.

Bagi Ketua Parlimen DAP itu, keraguan timbul sama ada Jawatankuasa Khas berkenaan akan membawa sebarang perubahan bagi menamatkan korupsi, pembaziran wang rakyat dan penyalahgunaan kuasa dalam perkhidmatan awam seperti yang boleh dilihat menerusi Laporan-laporan Ketua Audit Negara.

"Jika kerajaan benar-benar hendak membasmi korupsi, pembaziran, pemborosan, dan penyalahgunaan kuasa yang telah menelan berbilion-bilion ringgit wang rakyat saban tahun, jawatankuasa peringkat tinggi sedemikian sepatutnya telah ditubuhkan sejurus selepas Ketua Audit Negara Tan Sri Ambrin Buang mengemukakan Laporan Audit 2012 kepada kerajaan pada bulan Julai lalu dan bukan hanya sekarang, iaitu hanya setelah pembentangan Laporan Ketua Audit Negara 2012 di Parlimen pada 1 Oktober lalu mula diperkatakan sejak minggu lalu," kata Penasihat DAP itu.

Beliau mempersoalkan, apakah Perdana Menteri dan Ketua Setiausaha Negara merasa rakyat Malaysia akan percaya bahawa kedua-dua mereka tidak membaca atau mengetahui isi Laporan Ketua Audit Negara 2012 ketika ia pertama kali dikemukakan kepada kerajaan pada bulan Julai lalu.

"Apakah kedua-dua mereka tidak menyedari ketika itu seteruk mana korupsi, pembaziran wang rakyat, dan penyalahgunaan kuasa yang telah berlaku seperti mana yang dapat dilihat dalam laporan tersebut sehinggalah ia dibentangkan di Parlimen pada hari Selasa lalu dan dilaporkan secara meluas dalam media?" soal Kit Siang dalam kenyataannya.

Menurut beliau, kerajaan mempunyai masa selama lebih dua bulan untuk memberi respons terhadap Laporan Ketua Audit Negara 2012 sebelum ia dibentangkan di Parlimen.

Justeru itu, katanya, rakyat Malaysia mengharapkan kerajaan memberikan respons yang lebih baik memandangkan ia selama ini berbangga dengan Program Transformasi Kerajaan dan tidak menunggu sehingga pekung semakin berbau.

Bagi Kit Siang, dalam kertas putih berkenaan perdana menteri bukan saja perlu memperincikan langkah-langkah yang akan mengakhiri “kisah ngeri tahunan” dalam Laporan Ketua Audit Negara tetapi juga menjelaskan tindakan disiplin yang telah diambil oleh semua kementerian terhadap kakitangan mereka yang terlibat dalam salah laku dan melanggar tatacara umum kerajaan sehingga menyebabkan banyak wang rakyat lesap. - 6 Oktober, 2013.
